Arrival in Hungary and PCR-testing (updated according to governmental legislation in effect from 3 September, 2020)
To enter Hungary, you will need a document called Annex 1. It is to specify your quarantine address, transit countries while travelling to Hungary and to certify that you are one of MATE's students. Annex 1 empty file for MISP, FAO and self-financed students ONLY is to be sent as an answer for the email with the subject: Welcome information from MATE, Hungary_Scholarship_YOUR NAME! SH, DFP and SCYP students will soon receive their Annex 1 document automatically. SH, DFP and SCYP students DO NOT HAVE TO SEND their data for processing.
According to the governmental legislation, after entering Hungary, you need a quarantine of 10 days that can be shortened by possessing two negative PCR-test results taken in Hungary.
Please note that MATE dormitories cannot accept anyone for testing or for their quarantine period (the cost of accommodation during this period must be covered by students). Only those who arrive from countries whose immunity cards are mutually acknowledged can enter any MATE Campuses without possessing 2 negative PCR test results in case they bring their immunity card from their home country.
